New product categories become part of the MiniPia , significantly expanding the audience of future beneficiaries. In fact , those carrying out activities relating to 26 other Ateco codes also enter the list of eligible micro and small businesses . Among the new typologies, particular attention is paid to cultural businesses and some tourist activities.

The innovations were approved by the regional council in yesterday's session, 26 February 2024. Thus, just over two weeks after the publication of the notice, the regional facilitation instrument managed by Puglia Sviluppo as an intermediate body becomes even more inclusive.

Alessandro Delli Noci , announced the news, explaining: "We wanted to include cultural activities that we believe have a great impact on the economy of our region in the list of eligible categories."

“The objective – underlines Delli Noci – is to strengthen the cultural industry which wants to implement its activities also to enhance the artistic appeal of Puglia. So we have included among the eligible initiatives, activities in the field of acting, artistic performances and direction, management of theaters and concert halls. We have also included conservation and restoration activities of works of art, other artistic and literary creations, library and archive activities, as well as museums and the management of places, historical monuments and similar attractions. In this way we listened to the proposals expressed by the trade associations. But all this was possible because the facilitative tools of the Puglia Region have, among their characteristics, the flexibility that makes them adaptable to the needs of our territory and its production system".

Among the new Atecos there also appear some categories relating to the tourism sector such as the activities of travel agencies, tour operators, guides and tour leaders, various services such as ticket offices and the rental of bicycles, boats, sports and recreational equipment, cars for construction and civil engineering works, structures and systems for events and shows, without neglecting the organization of conferences and fairs. Services connected to maritime and water transport were also included, but also commercial activities with particular reference to trade carried out through vending machines.
