Puglia Sviluppo and the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce have signed an agreement to support business creation and innovation. A Puglia Sviluppo office is planned to open in Taranto.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Puglia Sviluppo and the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce. The agreement aims to collaborate in supporting activities for the creation of new businesses and innovative entrepreneurship. To achieve this goal, a Puglia Sviluppo office will be open from May at the Chamber's headquarters in Taranto.
The Memorandum of Understanding was presented on Friday, May 16, at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters, by the regional councilors for Economic Development and Tourism, Alessandro Delli Noci and Gianfranco Lopane; Vincenzo Cesareo and Claudia Sanesi, president and secretary general, respectively, of the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce; and Grazia D'Alonzo and Antonio De Vito, president and general director of Puglia Sviluppo.
With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Chamber of Commerce and Puglia Sviluppo commit to a stable collaboration in planning and implementing activities to support business creation and the development of innovative entrepreneurship, as well as networking between businesses and research centers, promoting awareness of the incentive tools already in place. Both parties also commit to gathering information on additional needs that need to be addressed to activate the virtuous cycle of innovation.
"The activation of the Puglia Sviluppo office within the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce," emphasized Alessandro Delli Noci, Councilor for Economic Development of the Puglia Region, "represents an important step forward in the regional strategy of proximity and listening to local communities. Thanks to this collaboration, we are making regional incentive tools even more accessible, providing concrete support for business creation, innovation, and local entrepreneurial development. With this synergy, we aim not only to promote awareness of the opportunities offered by the Puglia Region through Puglia Sviluppo, but also to promptly address the needs of businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs, and local businesses. The Puglia Region will continue to invest in effective tools and support services, convinced that development depends on enhancing the entrepreneurial fabric, especially in the areas most in need of attention and structured support."
"The opening of the Puglia Sviluppo office at the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce," said Puglia Sviluppo President Grazia D'Alonzo, "is good news for the entire region. It's a concrete sign of our support for businesses, startups, professionals, and anyone who wants to invest in the future of this region. We want the office to become a simple and direct point of reference: a place where you can find clear information, practical support, a listening ear, and guidance to access the grants, financing, and opportunities offered by Puglia Sviluppo and the Puglia Region. We strongly believe in collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce, because networking is the key to truly leveraging local potential. The office therefore represents a strategic presence in the region: a point of reference for accompanying businesses towards growth, innovation, and competitiveness."
For Vincenzo Cesareo, President of the Brindisi-Taranto Chamber of Commerce: "This is a decisive result for our regions. Puglia Sviluppo's physical presence at our offices not only demonstrates the Puglia Region's support at an extremely important time for Taranto and Brindisi, given the number of active regional measures and, therefore, the related opportunities that our businesses must increasingly seize. It also represents the beginning of a much more complex process, involving, on the one hand, improving the information channel and, on the other, creating a network of institutions, professionals, and representatives all working towards the same goal of increasing the quantity and quality of the regions' response to available incentives, while also fostering a proactive business culture capable of proposing and developing useful measures and projects together with local and regional agencies.
Starting in the first week of June, public meetings will be held in Taranto at the Chamber of Commerce to discuss regional measures dedicated to both business creation and development. This initiative is part of the activities related to the new office.
