The 16th edition of the Start Cup Puglia kicks off, the regional award for innovation, organized by ARTI in collaboration with the Puglia Region, the promoting committee (of which Puglia Sviluppo is a member) and PNI - National Award for Innovation. After the Taranto Innovation Summit, the event was presented on June 13 in the Oplà space of the Polytechnic of Bari. The competition aimed at startuppers and aspiring ones, active since 2008, rewards new entrepreneurial initiatives with a high knowledge content, offering the possibility of transforming a business idea into a real company, through project support activities, technical assistance and cash prizes. With the first phase called From the idea to the Business plan, from 15 May to 30 June it is possible to request and participate in project support sessions with expert coaches to define your business plan in view of the candidacy for the actual competition. To book the accompanying sessions, it is necessary to fill in and send the template available [at this link] via email to startcup@arti.puglia.it. During the second phase of the Business Plan Competition, scheduled from 10 July to 20 September, it will be possible to directly submit business plans in one of the following categories: Life science-MEDTech, ICT, Cleantech & Energy, Industrial. The best business plans will compete in a competitive pitch session during the final in October in front of a jury of entrepreneurs and experts who will proclaim the four winners who will receive cash prizes ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 euros. The jury will also proclaim the absolute winner of Start Cup Puglia 2023, who will receive the special mention "Regional Award for Innovation". The other three honorable mentions are: “Social Innovation” and “Social enterprise with a view to Equal Opportunities”. Two special prizes worth 2,000 euros have been confirmed again this year: Green and Blue climate change, the best business project for the reduction of climate change, and the special prize reserved for the best project that has completed, or is carrying out, the entrepreneurial support path as part of the regional intervention "Extraction of Talents". Additional cash prizes and services are made available by the Promoting Committee, made up of bodies and organizations that support the initiative and support its promotion. The four winners of Start Cup Puglia and the winner of the "Green and Blue climate change" award will automatically access the PNI scheduled for November 30 and December 1, 2023 in Milan. The call of Arti and Rete Antenna Pon ARTI and Rete Antenna PON - Research and Innovation of Puglia, in the framework of the initiatives concerning the animation and promotion of innovative business culture in the Apulian territory, launch the call to participate in orientation sessions and planning assistance on innovative business ideas as part of Start Cup Puglia - Regional Award for Innovation - 2023 edition. The Call aims to stimulate and improve the innovative business culture in the region, contributing to the economic and productive valorisation of scientific knowledge, as well as the results of technological and industrial research.
As part of the first phase of the Start Cup Puglia 2023, called "FROM THE IDEA TO THE BUSINESS PLAN", the informal teams, made up of any number of members (even of a single natural person), who intend to start a business in Puglia innovative company, or innovative companies, established starting from 1 October 2022, or established in 2022 but which have declared the start of activities starting from 1 October 2022, residing in the territories of the Municipalities belonging to the PON Antenna Network can request and participate free of charge to project guidance/assistance sessions with reference to their innovative business ideas. These are the Municipalities adhering to the Puglia PON Antenna Network: Gioia del Colle (Lead Municipality), Rocchetta Sant'Antonio, Candela, Troia, Bovino, Poggiorsini, Noicattaro, Valenzano, Noci, Sammichele di Bari, Ginosa, Grottaglie, Mesagne, Fasano, Cisternino , Campi Salentina, Guagnano, Galatone, Galatina, Gallipoli, Melpignano, Parabita, Salve, Lizzanello, Nardò. These are the areas of interest: Climate; Social innovation; Digital; Territorial regeneration; Sustainable mobility; Agroecology. The sessions covered by the Call will provide orientation for the preparation of any candidacy for the second phase of the Puglia Start Cup called "COMPETITION OF BUSINESS PLAN", a real competition between business projects scheduled from 10 July to 20 September in four categories : Life science-MEDTech, ICT, Cleantech & Energy, Industrial. The best business plans will compete in a competitive pitch session during the final on 18 October. To book the orientation/assistance sessions, interested parties must complete the attached form and send it by email (indicating in the subject: Call 01), in pdf format, to: startcup@arti.puglia.it by 12:00 of 11 September 2023. Participants, possibly aggregated into Teams, must indicate a natural person as Project Representative. The sessions will mainly take place through one-to-one coaching activities, remotely and each Team will be able to have at least one coach made available by ARTI, with the collaboration and possible contribution of the PON Puglia Antenna Network. Participants, at the start of the session, will have to present a Pitch Deck (oral presentation, supported by infographics in ppt or pdf version, or similar, and possibly also by video or other audiovisual material), of innovative business ideas.
