Innovative companies, overtaking the South compared to the North: +52%

"The South, now yes, could turn the page. Innovative companies, logistics, green energy and tourism are already real strengths on which it is possible to build the relaunch".  This is how Il Sole 24 Ore in this article anticipates some data from the study by SRM, Studi e Ricerche per il Mezzogiorno - a study centre connected to the Intesa Sanpaolo group - entitled "Mezzogiorno: midsummer economic landscape".  "In the first place – we read –the number of companies is growing: the data reveal, in June, a + 0.7% compared to 2021 (against an Italian figure of -0.1%). A novelty is also that which concerns capital companies (which account for 22.4%): they grew by 5% (in Italy by 3.2%). But there is a particularly interesting fact, it is that relating to innovative companies. In the South there are over 15 thousand "innovative" companies, 17% of the national figure. Compared to 2014, the number of innovative companies grows in the South by about 52% compared to 34% of the national average".
